When training online, take your body’s limitations into account yourself, after consulting your doctor first.
A short list of possible health issues and our recommendations:
— Hernias are not a contraindication to training, as long as you are not in an acute inflammatory phase and are receiving medical treatment.
— With grade 1–2 diastasis, focus on the “Abs” and “Posture” workouts.
— With varicose veins you can train, but avoid prolonged load on one leg: split the reps and switch legs within a set.
— Arthrosis, hip arthrosis. It depends on the severity and on how active you were before the diagnosis. If you lead an active lifestyle and have these issues, you can join my full-length live classes. In the Glutes workout I always explain at the start how you should train.
— Pregnancy. It’s best to start after giving birth. You can join my live classes 6 weeks after a natural birth, or up to 9 weeks after a C-section, provided your doctor has no objections.
— If you were training and became pregnant. Congratulations! In the first trimester, if your doctor has no objections, switch to mobility workouts only. From the second trimester you can do the full-length classes, but:
— in the “Glutes” workout — follow my recommendations, train with the recording and listen to your body;
— in the “Abs” workout — do only the first part of the class, which focuses on myofascial release, mobilization and breathing;
— in the “Posture” workout — do only the exercises without static load on the abdominal muscles or breath-holding, and listen to your body.
If you have a sedentary lifestyle, spend more time on mobility workouts and the “Abs” and “Posture” classes.
